Dashboard

The first screen you see after entering an organization. Get an at-a-glance view of your documents, conversations, and agents, jump straight into common tasks, and follow recent activity.

The dashboard is the home screen you land on when you enter an organization. You can return to it anytime by clicking Dashboard at the top of the left menu. The screen has three parts — a greeting header with quick-action buttons at the top, statistic cards in the middle, and a recent-activity list at the bottom. Rather than a place to enter new information, it is a starting point for quickly understanding your organization's current state and moving on to your next task.

Every number and activity shown on the dashboard reflects the organization you currently have selected. Switching to another organization from the organization switcher at the top left refreshes the dashboard with that organization's data.

Screen layout

The dashboard stacks three areas from top to bottom. Each area loads independently, so the rest of the page may appear before one part finishes loading.

Greeting header

The top of the screen shows the dashboard title and today's date. The date is formatted to match your language setting.

Statistic cards

Three cards sit side by side, showing your document, conversation, and agent counts. Each number animates smoothly from zero up to its real value when it appears.

Recent activity

A list that gathers the most recent events in your organization in chronological order. Click any item to jump straight to the relevant screen.

Reading the statistic cards

The statistic cards show how many of your organization's core assets exist right now. To dig in, use the left menu to open the matching screen.

CardMeaningRelated screen

Documents

The total number of documents uploaded to the organization, including those still processing or that failed.

Documents

Conversations

The number of chat conversations members have had with agents. Anonymous conversations from embedded chat are not counted.

Chat

Agents

The number of agents, counted whether or not they are published. Admins and above count every agent in the organization, while members and viewers count only the agents they can access (public plus their teams').

Agent Builder

The statistic numbers load when you first open the screen and are reused for a short while. If you just uploaded a document or created an agent and the count has not changed, refresh the page or switch to another organization and back to pull the latest values.

Starting with quick actions

To the right of the greeting header is a group of buttons that take you straight to the most common tasks. If you are not sure where to begin, these buttons are a good starting point.

Build an agent

Start creating a new agent in the visual builder. This is the most prominently highlighted button and carries a new-feature marker.

Upload documents

Go to the Documents screen to upload PDFs, documents, and text files — the starting point for the knowledge your agents rely on.

Start a conversation

Go to the Chat screen and start talking with a published agent right away.

The quick-action buttons appear in the header only on wider screens. On narrow screens such as mobile, they are hidden, so use the left menu or the statistic cards to reach the same screens.

Following recent activity

The recent-activity list gathers the latest things that happened in your organization in one place, newest first. New documents, conversations, and agents appear interleaved by time, up to ten items.

  1. Identify the activity type

The icon on the left of each item shows whether it is a document, conversation, or agent. Below the title, a short description tells you who uploaded it or which agent the conversation was with.

  2. Read the time

On the right of each item is a relative time such as just now, minutes ago, hours ago, or days ago. Items older than a week switch to showing a date.

  3. Jump straight there

Clicking an item takes you to the matching place: document items go to the Documents screen, conversation items open that conversation, and agent items open the Agent Builder. (The View all link above the list simply returns to the dashboard — there is no separate activity page.)

Recent activity does not include anonymous conversations from embedded chat. Deleted conversations are also excluded, so the list shows only work in progress inside your organization.

When you have no organization

If you do not yet belong to any organization, a guidance screen appears instead of the dashboard. From there you can create a new organization or accept an invitation from a colleague to join one. Once you are in an organization, you immediately see the normal dashboard filled with statistics and recent activity. See the Getting started guide for how to begin with your first organization.
